I am in Grand Rapids and last year you had chiles at D&W Fresh Market and Family Fare. Will they be having them again this year? I am desperate for some fresh ones. I don’t like the frozen or canned. I deeply appreciate any info on where I can get them!
Do you remember how much they were per pound? I see D&W on the list for Melissa’s Produce this year.
Ann, I’ve been hearing between $25-30 for a 25lbs case.
Any word for Michigan this year? I’m in the East Lansing Area, but any of the stores in Grand Rapids from last year could also be an option.
We also have Meijer, but they only had them in small bags (I bought them all!)

Is there any good place to find out if there will be hatch green chiles in Michigan this year?
We got them a couple years ago at local krogers. The year before we went all the way to Pittsburgh.
We are located in metro detroit.
We keep hatch chiles around all the time to keep a little New Mexico here with us in Michigan!

I also live in Metro Detroit (West Bloomfield). A couple of years ago I was able to get it at a Kroger in Waterford, but haven’t seen it lately. Last year I got a case or two in Ann Arbor, but it was hard to get them.
We have Kroger. Meijer. Whole foods. Trader joes.
I’m from New Mexio and im in desperate need of green chili do u know where i can find some?
I moved to western Michigan in April of this year (2018), Karen……..from Colorado….and I have yet to find any Mexican restaurant or store that sells green chile. I just can’t bring myself to eat a “wet” burrito….I want a smothered burrito, smothered with some delicious green chile! Good luck in your search!
